Agents of Change: Writing Young Capable Characters
This workshop will dive into the importance of creating themes of agency and advocacy in children’s books. We’ll take a brief tour of prominent children’s stories to examine how authors have created characters that have a light yet lasting presence. The second part of the workshop will consist of exercises to help writers develop their skills with the components of agency.

Join the Okotoks Authors Group at the Okotoks Public Library, on Thursday March 16, 7 PM for their regular monthly meeting. Dorothy will be facilitating the education portion of the meeting, about the basics of social media for writers who would rather be doing literally anything else. Free of charge. Open to the public.
